Charlie Denmark - Electric Guitar & Bass
Charlie passed away on April 12, 2005. I was at his bed side when he passed. I miss Charlie and love him dearly.
We got to talk about it before he died; about life, dying and eternal life. Charlie made a great difference in many
people's lives. He served God with the true heart of a servant. He gave on a daily basis 110% of himself. So now
he sits with the Father in all His glory and now he knows just how awesome that is! Save me a good seat my friend
I will see you again. Eddie
I am leaving Charlie's story here exactly as he wrote it.
First influence happened when I was eight years old and saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan TV show.
I decided that I would like to do what they did. However, I didn't get my first guitar until
I was fourteen years old. a two pickup "Harmony" electric. One of my favorite guitars ever.
I have owned Les Pauls, Fender Jazzmasters, Gibson Flying V's, Telecasters etc. I like the
ballsy sound that a Gibson has but I always return to Fender.
The most favorite guitarist in order I have admired are: Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page,
Billy Gibbons, Eric Clapton, Dewayne Allman, Ted Nugent and Eddie VanHalen.
My favorite styles of music, that I love and have influencee me are the Blues / Southern Rock genre ie: ZZ TOP,
Leonard Skynard and Heavy Rock like Led Zepplen, Triumph and Pink Floyd.
I have played in too many bands to mention. However, the two Guitarist that taught me to play the
guitar are Jim Michael, from the first true band I was ever in , and Eddie King who I
have had the pleasure of being friends with and palying in bands for fifteen plus years.
Getting the opportunity to play guitar for my Lord and Saviour in "Pray For Reign" is probably
the best thing I have ever done. Not only do I get to continue to learn guitar from Eddie I get
to play the guitar for a much higher cause.
The Lord has blessed me with good friends, mentors, family, health and blessing too numerous to
count. I feel it is about time that I bow to his calling to bring as many lost souls to him
through my music as I can.
